Third Sector Support
Voluntary and community groups make up Lochaber’s vibrant and active third sector, providing a variety of community services, supporting vulnerable groups and providing community facilities to highlight just a few of our activities.
It is a key responsibility of Voluntary Action Lochaber to support these groups, ensuring organisations can fulfill their ambitions.
Support and Guidance is provided through our Community Action Team, who can provide face to face guidance on a range of issues including:
- Project Development
- Community Engagement
- Recruitment and Retention of Volunteers
- Organisation’s Health Checks
- Supporting Volunteers
Voluntary Action Lochaber can assist you in fulfilling PVG Scheme requirements for those working with vulnerable individuals or groups.
Our Community Action Team can also work with you to identify training for individuals or organisations such as minute taking training, basic book keeping, governance and team building. More information is available on our Learning Centre page.
For advice or for further information please contact us on 01397 706044 or by email.
